Behind The Lines

After a 24 hour journey we arrived at midnight local time in Calgary, Alberta. The weather was fairly warm but the flakes were still falling while we were waiting for Juan Pablo Montoya our motel shuttle racer just outside the arrival hall. We were all quite tired and looked forward to our motel beds just a stones throw away from the airport. After a good sleep and some Canadian muffins and waffles for breakfast, we arranged our RV and started our journey towards Revelstoke. The 400 kilometers via Banff, Golden and Rogers Pass passed by quite quickly and we were even able to spot some locations for our upcoming splitboard mission our of the window. Having the first impressions of the Rocky Mountains in mind, we arrived at the Hillcrest Hotel were we will stay for the next couple of nights.
